SECRET: Can you keep a secret?

Evenings… for many people, it’s a time to unwind after a long, tiring day. After work, we often want to enjoy something delicious with friends we feel comfortable talking to—about work, family, or just random things. Saying it out loud feels like releasing the tension that’s built up all day, leaving the mind lighter and clearer.

From being tightly wound… once we start to relax, sometimes we relax more than usual.
And in moments like these, the secrets we keep inside often slip out.


People often ask why Preda’s coffee can consistently deliver similar tasting notes year after year, while most coffees in the market can’t use tasting notes as product names because they’re too hard to replicate—so they rely on origin names instead.

I always intend to keep it a secret, but somehow I end up telling everyone anyway. The reason we can achieve this consistency (without using any artificial flavoring) comes down to two things:

First, we strive to control as many variables as possible to remain consistent—temperature, time, pH levels, drying humidity, and so on.

Second, we closely monitor the process in real time, making adjustments or decisions as needed. Not every factor can be controlled 100%, so it requires skilled hands to guide the process carefully along the way.

Some deviation is inevitable—but our goal is to keep it from drifting too far.

Our approach is actually simple—so simple it might not even seem like a secret.
But believe it or not… this “not-so-secret” is exactly what’s hardest to replicate.
